Rendezvous Park Ribbon Cutting in Honey Harbour
Features demonstrations by some of Canada’s top pickleball players.

There is a new Park in downtown Honey Harbour called Rendezvous Park (46 Bluewater Road) with six pickleball courts as well as a playground for the kids! On Saturday, May 18th a celebration was held to cut the ribbon on the courts. There were over 100 people watching the official ribbon cutting as well as a pickleball demonstration by some of Canada’s top-rated players. Many of the local residents took turns playing on the brand new courts.

The Pickleball courts can be used for FREE every morning and will be the site of future pickleball tournaments

Lead fundraisers Rob and Michelle Krizmanich were the brains behind the initiative to create the pickleball courts. They lead a fundraising campaign which got the support of the HHA as well as many local families with the Township matching the fundraising achievement.

Jennifer Schnier, Director of Sustainability for the Township acted as MC and distributed celebratory pickleball cookies. In attendance were many donors as well as special guests:

  • MP Scott Aitchison (Muskoka Parry Sound)

  • MPP Graydon Smith (Muskoka Parry Sound)

  • Mayor Peter Koetsier (Township of Georgian Bay)

  • Brian Bocheck (Township of Georgian Bay)

  • Ward Councillor Steve Jarvis (Township of Georgian Bay)

  • Ward Councillor Al Hazelton (Township of Georgian Bay)
