 Cottage 911 Sign • What 3 Words • Burn Permits

COTTAGE 911 SIGN
Every cottage has a number to help emergency workers locate your cottage quickly. ​You can buy a  911# Identification Plate (see the blue sign above) from Georgian Bay Township. This helps emergency response and the HHA Cottage Patrol easily locate your cottage. Attach your 911# plate to a rock, tree or post that is near your dock and highly visible from the water.

BURN PERMITS MANDATORY​Township of Georgian Bay residents are required to obtain a burn permit for any open-air burning between January 1 and December 31. Daytime burning is permitted with a valid permit. 

Burn Permits can now be purchased online through our application found below.

Burn Permits are also available at the Township Office (99 Lone Pine Road, Port Severn), and the three library branches in Honey Harbour, MacTier and Port Severn.
